Our Impact
The Cultural Heritage Centre is more than East Africa's finest gallery — it is a lifeline for over 3,000 families across Tanzania. Every purchase, every commission, and every gallery visit creates a direct economic impact for the artisans, painters, sculptors, and craftspeople who define Tanzania's creative identity.
The majority of proceeds from our gallery are channelled directly into the Cultural Heritage Foundation — supporting artisan development programmes, emerging artist scholarships, and the preservation of Tanzania's living cultural heritage for generations to come.
Tanzania has one of Africa's richest and most diverse artistic traditions. From the intricate Makonde carvings of the south to the vivid Tingatinga paintings born in Dar es Salaam, Tanzanian art speaks a language that is distinctly its own — and the Cultural Heritage Centre exists to ensure that language is never lost.
About the Foundation →"When you acquire a work from the Cultural Heritage Centre, you are not simply purchasing art. You are participating in a living chain of creativity — sustaining the artist, their family, and the tradition they carry forward."
